Purpose: Purpose of trade mark registration is  to protect a company's brand and prevent others from using similar marks that could cause confusion among consumers. It also gives the owner exclusive rights to use the mark in connection with their goods or services, helping to build brand recognition and loyalty.

A trademark is valid for Ten years (10 years) from the filing date of the application and may be renewed indefinitely for successive.

Documents Needed

1. Copy of the Passport or ID - Card
2. Business Licence and Company Profile ( If a Foreign Companies It’s Required Business Licence from the Origional Country ).
3. Trade Marke Registration Request Letter.
4. Trade Mark Verification From Notary.
5. Trade Mark PNG photo with Professional Description
6. Power of Attorney ( Only the Representitive ).
7. The Trade Mark is Required to Register the Origional Country ( Only the Foreign Companies )

Steps to be taken to benefit of the service

1. A person who intends to apply for the registration of a trade mark shall carry out a search to ascertain whether the trademark exists in the register ( No Search Payment )
2. A Trade Mark application is then filed upon payment of application fees. The application should contain the mark proposed to be used, the class of goods or services, the name, address and the signature of applicant. If the applicant is a foreign company, a Power of Attorney.
3. The application is then examined to determine its inherent registrability and conflict with prior existing registrations /applications..
4. If accepted, the application will be advertised in the local Gazette / IP website for 35 days.
5. If there is no opposition after the expiration of 45 days of the advertisement, the Registrar shall upon payment of the prescribed fee by the applicant enter the Trademark in the register and issue a Certificate of registration. ( $1000 Domestic TM).
